Well, hello again Reader!

_Some of you have been keeping me company in the Creative Playground or Behind the Friction. For others, it’s been a while._

_I’ve missed sharing these conversations with all of you, so I’m bringing everyone together again._

_Expect stories, experiments, and small things worth trying in your own business, drawn from both my creator brain and my work as an Experience Design Consultant._

My business and I have been catching up with each other lately.

What I do has evolved.

Some of the pages introducing me were apparently waiting for a formal announcement. 😅

So I’m revisiting my website, my newsletter profile, and what happens when someone subscribes or buys.

Does what they encounter reflect the work I actually do now?

Can they understand where I could help?

Do the next steps make sense without me filling in the blanks?

Updating my newsletter welcome email was one small part of that.

Remove the old lane choices.
Refresh the wording.Done.

Except… where would people go after clicking confirm?

That needed attention too!

**The experience in my head had moved forward.
Some of the pieces people encountered hadn’t caught up.

I’m sharing this so you know I’m in it too.

The questions I use in my work also belong in my own business. And knowing what to look for doesn’t magically update a page while I’m making supper.
Unfortunately. 😄

Now, my instinct could have been to add another explanation to the email.

But that would leave the next person needing the same explanation…

Which brings me to something worth checking before your (Black Friday) promotion gets busy:

**Where are YOU supplying something your customer experience could supply?**

The link you send because people can’t find their purchase.
The explanation of which option fits them. The “start here” advice you repeat because everything looks equally important once they’re inside.

Each answer might take only a minute.

But those minutes still need you. And before someone asks, there may be a stretch of uncertainty you never hear about.

Personal help can be wonderful. I want my attention available for the questions that need a conversation.

![“What happens when you’re not there?” Three cards show the offer, checkout, and purchase. A handwritten sticky note reading “Oh, I’d explain that” bridges a gap in the journey.

**Here’s a small check: go from your offer to checkout to access, and notice every
time you think, ****“Oh, I’d explain that.”**

What would someone encounter if you weren’t beside them?

That’s the kind of hidden friction I examine in a [**Black Friday Experience Check**](https://stephiethehappymom.com/bf-experience-check):
where customers need you to fill in the gaps, why those gaps exist, and which practical
changes deserve attention before the rush.

And I’m curious:

**What’s one thing you keep explaining to customers that you wish your page, checkout,
or welcome email explained for you?**

Hit reply. A sentence is plenty.
I’d love to know where you find yourself stepping
in.

**P.S.** Apparently, being able to spot these things in someone else’s business
doesn’t grant my own an exemption.
Just saying. 😏

**NOTE:** I’m moving things around in the backend to make room for a new project.
Can you help me spot “bad experiences” regarding my site, your members’ area, communications,
or whatever? I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much
easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you!

**Disclosure:** From time to time, I will include links in the emails that would
include promotions for my own products or affiliate products, meaning I get paid
when you buy the product. However, I only ever mention products I love and would
recommend whether I was being compensated or not. Always use due diligence when
buying anything and remember, what works for me may not always work for you!
