[🎨] They didn’t say no

Hello and welcome to my printables and low-content creation series, Reader 👋

Looking for a previous issue? They are all available to read on my website.

🎨 🎨 🎨

The best feedback I got this week didn’t come from a customer…
it came from someone who couldn’t become one.

Someone reached out after trying to access the Evidence Log.

A few things weren’t working quite right.

Even though everything on my side was working (the first time I tested it).

Nothing dramatic.

Just enough friction to make checking out… harder than it should be.

And then came the interesting part.

They were finally ready to buy!

But couldn’t.

Not because of the product.

Because of how they were asked to pay.

That’s when it clicked!

At first, it feels like a small thing.

Stripe versus Paypal?
Kit versus aMember?
Sales page versus product page?

But from the other side?

It can be the difference between:

“yes, I’ll take it”

and

“never mind.”

If you’re not aware of the hidden frictions stacking on each other.

And most of the time…
you’ll never hear about it.

People don’t usually report friction.

They just leave.

Which makes it very easy to assume:
“No one wants this.”

When in reality:
Some people just can’t move forward the way things are set up.

And when you’re selling simple things like printables…
there’s not a lot of room for friction.

So I went back and looked at everything.

Simplified the path.
Added another payment option.
Made sure it works in more situations.

Not because the product changed.

But because the path to it needed to.

And it made me wonder…

How often do we assume something is a “no”
when it is actually just silent friction?

If you’ve looked at your own work lately and thought:
“maybe this isn’t landing…”

It might be worth asking:
“Is it really the thing itself…
or how people are experiencing it?”

I’ve been picking up on that kind of thing more easily lately… just by paying attention to what’s really going on instead of making assumptions.

So if you tried to check(out) the Evidence Log before and something didn’t work, it should be much easier now.

PS: If you ever hit something like this on my side, please tell me.
You might be helping more than just yourself.

PPS: If things have felt a bit unclear on your side lately… you’re probably not as “off track” as it seems. Sometimes it’s just hard to see what’s already happening.

NOTE: I’m moving things around in the backend to make room for a new project. Can you help me spot “bad experiences” regarding my site, your members’ area, communications, or whatever? I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you!

Disclosure: From time to time, I will include links in the emails that would include promotions for my own products or affiliate products, meaning I get paid when you buy the product. However, I only ever mention products I love and would recommend whether I was being compensated or not. Always use due diligence when buying anything and remember, what works for me may not always work for you!
