🎨 Every launch leaves clues…

Because of my Border Celebration Week, I prefered to skip my weekly newsletters last week so that I could share about my new product with everyone all at once.

But today, you’re in for a treat (and a little challenge invitation)!

Since last Sunday, I’ve been spending a good chunk of my days painting.

It starts with the deck, then now the shed.

The funny thing about painting is that your hands stay busy while your mind is free to wander.

Between birds singing, neighbor kids playing, and lawn mowers mowing here and there, I’ve had plenty of time to debrief my two back-to-back launches.

At first, I started looking at the usual things.

Open rates.
Sales.
Conversion rates.

You know… the marketer’s report card!

But something much more interesting kept pulling at me.

Every launch leaves clues.

Not just about your audience.
Not just about your messaging.

About your product itself.

I started replaying the entire journey, from the first spark of an idea to launch day.

And I noticed I kept asking a different kind of question than I would have two years ago.

Not:

“How can I sell more of this?”

But:

“What experience am I actually creating?”

If you’ve been following me for a while, this isn’t the first time you’ve heard this from me.

This time, what changed was how it stayed with me throughout the entire creation process.

And that one question led me somewhere I wasn’t expecting this time.

I think I may have stumbled onto a pattern.
Maybe even the beginning of a
framework.

I’m not ready to share it yet because I want to pressure-test it first.

But here’s what I can tell you…

It has very little to do with features.

Very little to do with marketing.

And everything to do with why some products connect…
while others don’t.
