🎨 Are We There Yet?

By Stephie

Hello and Welcome to the Creative Playground, Reader!

Pull up a chair, grab a coffee, and let’s see what becomes possible when we revisit, remix, and reimagine what’s already right in front of us.

Because sometimes the next opportunity isn’t something new. It’s seeing what you already have differently.

Looking for a previous issue? They are all available to read on my website.

On Monday, we spent the day exploring ATV trails in Maine.

After riding for quite a while, my stomach decided it was lunchtime.

The only problem?

Stopping in the middle of the trail didn’t sound nearly as appealing as finding a nice place to eat.

My husband remembered there was a lake up ahead that would make the perfect picnic spot.

The catch was…
He wasn’t exactly sure how much farther.

Before I knew it, I caught myself thinking:

“Are we there yet?”

Not out loud.
Just in my head.

And then I laughed.
Because I realized I ask myself the exact same question in business.

Not literally, of course.
More like…

“Shouldn’t I have more sales by now?”

“Shouldn’t this be easier by now?”

“Shouldn’t I be farther along by now?”

The funny thing is…

When you’re on a trail, you don’t usually turn around just because you haven’t reached the lake yet.

You keep going because you trust it’s there.

Business is trickier.

Most of the time, there isn’t a sign telling you:

Lake: 2 km

Or…

Next breakthrough: 3 meaningful conversations away.

So our brain fills in the blanks.

“Maybe I’m taking the wrong trail.”

“Maybe everyone else is moving faster.”

“Maybe I’m not cut out for this.”

But what if…

You’re actually much closer than it feels?

Not because success is guaranteed.

But because progress almost never feels the way we imagine it would while we’re living it.

Sometimes it’s another newsletter.
Sometimes it’s one conversation.
Sometimes it’s a random idea that appears while riding through the woods.

You simply don’t know which bend in the trail changes everything.

🎨 Today’s Playground Invitation:

Where in your business are you asking,

“Are we there yet?”

And instead…

What would change if you trusted the trail just a little longer?

See you next Wednesday,

P.S. One thing I’ve noticed while doing Snapshot diagnostics…

The people who feel the most behind are rarely the ones who’ve made the least progress.

They’re usually the ones who can’t see the trail they’ve already covered because they’re too busy looking at the mountain in the distance.

That’s one of my favorite moments during a Snapshot: when someone suddenly realizes, “Oh… I wasn’t lost after all.

And yes, we made it to the lake and had a great lunchtime!

Always use due diligence when buying anything and remember, what works for me may not always work for you!
