Hello and Welcome to the Creative Playground, Reader! Pull up a chair, grab a coffee, and let’s see what becomes possible when we revisit, remix, and reimagine what’s already right in front of us. Because sometimes the next opportunity isn’t something new. It’s seeing what you already have differently. Looking for a previous issue? They are all available to read on my website. ~ 🎨 ~ Before we go any further… To my fellow Quebecers: 💙 Bonne Fête Nationale! I hope you’re having a beautiful day with the people you love. Tonight, if the weather continues to cooperate 🤞, my son and I will be heading to the park to watch the St-Jean fireworks. The funny thing? These are the same fireworks I used to go watch when I was a kid. Same park. And I absolutely love that! It also got me thinking… Fireworks are kind of terrible value when you think about it. 😆 Stay with me. They probably cost the city a small fortune. Poof! Yet every year, thousands of people show up. Including me. Why? Because nobody is showing up for the fireworks. They’re showing up for the experience. The anticipation. That’s the part people remember. And I think we sometimes forget that as creators. We spend so much time thinking about the product itself. The clip arts. Meanwhile, the more interesting question might be: What experience is this creating? That’s actually one of the things I’ve been thinking about while participating in the BBC members Schools In for Summer $7 Sale this week. At first glance, one of my new products might look like another coloring page generator. Which is technically true. But I created it in a way that the coloring page isn’t really the point. The experience starts long before the page even exists. It starts with a playful question. The coloring page just happens to be what comes next.
What excites me the most is not about creating another product; it’s about making something that helps create special moments. So tonight, while I’m hopefully watching fireworks instead of rain clouds, I’ll probably be thinking about the same thing: What if people don’t remember the thing? What if they remember the experience around it? Now that feels like a much more interesting question to explore.
PS: If you’re curious about the project I’m talking about, it’s called Would You Rather Coloring Experience (and comes with PLR), currently part of our Schools In for Summer $7 Sale And yes… it’s yours for just $7 right now. Along with a bunch of other clever ideas from creators who clearly spent some time thinking beyond the product itself. But more importantly, I hope it gives you a few ideas of your own about how to turn products into experiences. PPS: AI made creating easier. NOTE: I’m moving things around in the backend to make room for a new project. Can you help me spot “bad experiences” regarding my site, your members’ area, communications, or whatever? I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you! === . Disclosure: From time to time, I will include links in the emails that would include promotions for my own products or affiliate products, meaning I get paid when you buy the product. However, I only ever mention products I love and would recommend whether I was being compensated or not. Always use due diligence when buying anything and remember, what works for me may not always work for you! Thank you so much for your support of Stephie The Happy Mom!
