Hello Reader 👋 Is this the name you would like to be greeted with? Sometimes the universe conspires to remind us of what truly matters – family, nature, and the power of unplugging from the digital world to plug into life! Just this weekend, my mom, sister, and I embarked on our annual girls’ (semi) camping adventure, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of magical! Continuing in the spirit of embracing JOMO (read my last email for the full scoop), I had no problem to hang up my mompreneur hat and stepped into nature’s embrace. Swapping screen time for serene times, I found myself naturally going with the flow; laughter was our playlist, and the wilderness our backdrop. Even if I was the cook in charge, cooking outdoor was pure joy and the only deadlines were the setting sun and the rising of the stars. 🏕️👩🍳 An unexpected thunderstorm delayed our lake day plans, but it delivered an awe-inspiring light show that had us brimming with an electrifying sense of wonder. As a city dweller, those moments around the fire, beneath a tapestry of stars unmarred by urban glow, recharged my soul. Embracing Stephen R. Covey’s advice to ‘Sharpen The Saw‘ (see the P.S. for more), this escape was my own retreat into balanced self-renewal. I was reminded of nature’s power to inspire creativity and soothe the spirit. Stay tuned because it’s this recharged spirit that’s now guiding me to relaunch my camping printables into an evergreen funnel filled with learning fun, for even more meaningful family moments. To all the creative WAHMs in my circle, never underestimate the creativity that comes from a moment of tranquility. Take that step back, breathe, and watch your world expand. Here’s to finding your own starlit inspiration and keeping that saw sharp! I’d love to hear from you!
Cheers to summer fun! Visit your member’s area P.S.: Looking at how you can close the gap between who you’re capable of being and who you’re actually being? Check this out! It’s also where I heard about Steven Covey’s book: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Here’s what Brian says about the 7th habit: “Covey tells a brilliant story of a man in the forest sawing down a tree with a blunt saw. He saws and saws (and saws and saws). Working feverishly but not getting far. A passerby suggests he take a break and sharpen his saw and gets the reply,
“But I don’t have time for that. ” 🙂
Hmmmmm…
That sound like you? Definitely sounds like me on occasion! 🙂
Covey’s 7th Habit is very straightforward: Take the time to renew. Sharpen your saw.
How? Exercise, meditate, journal, spend time with loved ones, go on vacation, play, dance, enjoy your hobbies.
Sharpen, sharpen, sharpen!”
