When I was little, my dad told me that joke:

“Do you know why it doesn’t snow in summer?”

…

“Because it would be too hot to shovel!”

Of course, it took me by surprise and I even thought it made a lot of sense.

Until I went to shovel dirt, in the middle of summer!

And this morning, that joke came back to me when I looked at the weather forecast: sunny and above freezing. Except that it snowed late into the night and we just can’t wait for it to melt, given the quantity.

It’s not summer yet, but still, too hot to shovel today 😆
