Hello Reader 👋 Is this the name you would like to be greeted with? Without fully realizing it until last weekend, I created a new habit of walking 10,000+ steps per day over the summer. Now, of course, I don’t want to break my streak so whenever I see that I’m short, I head out of the door to get my steps in the evening, which in turn created another habit that I share most of the time with my son. And lately, it seems that the sun seems to be shining beautifully on the horizon. Must have something to do with fall just around the corner 😆 We’re having fun kicking around acorns and making the leaves crunch under our feet. And then yesterday, out of nowhere, my son shouted: “Look Mom, the Moon!” We were so focused on what was on the ground that we almost missed the marvelous spectacle of a near-full moonrise. With the thrill of a mini-adventure in mind, I suggested a scavenger hunt, so we wouldn’t miss any hidden treasures on our way home. We spotted a web and its giant spider hanging on a fence, a blue jay with what must have been its supper in its beak, and even our first Halloween decoration of the season at a neighbor’s house 👻 Let me tell you, nothing beats the excitement of a kid running around, hunting for hidden gems. That’s how the best memories and bonding moments are created, don’t you think? All this made me think about how often we overlook fun opportunities because we get caught up in the daily grind… Sometimes we need a little nudge to remember how to enjoy life! This little scavenger hunt not only sparked joy but also taught my not-so-little-boy-anymore to appreciate the small things (outside the screen!). And you know what?
