Well, hello again Reader! Some of you have been keeping me company in the Creative Playground or Behind the Friction. For others, it’s been a while. I’ve missed sharing these conversations with all of you, so I’m bringing everyone together again. Expect stories, experiments, and small things worth trying in your own business, drawn from both my creator brain and my work as an Experience Design Consultant. Here’s one to try today: “What am I expecting someone to know without telling them?” A product page. A welcome email. The folder holding your printables. You might spot one small thing you can make easier for them. If you first found me through my printables, I still love creating things. These days, I also step inside other creators’ businesses to see what their customers encounter. Because there’s a funny thing about building something. You know where everything is. Of course you do. You put it there. 😄 You know which link to click. Your customer arrives without that little map in your head. “Is this the one I need?”
“Did that work?” “Okay… now what?” Now picture that same person during Black Friday. Their inbox is full of last chances. They’ve got several tabs open, two offers to compare, and a discount code they’re pretty sure they saw somewhere. They buy your product. The confirmation arrives. Then another email. Which one has the download? They’ll figure it out later. And your product joins the things waiting for “later.”
They can tell whether the offer fits. They know what happens after they pay. They find what they bought and have a clear place to begin. A small “Oh, good. This is easy.” That’s worth building into your next product or promotion: Give them the directions that feel too obvious to you to mention. This is the work I do year-round, from the first invitation to what happens after the purchase. But Black Friday puts all those moments into a particularly crowded setting. So I’ve created something specifically for it: The Black Friday Experience Check. If your promotion is already built enough to go through, I’ll step into it like a customer, uncover the priority sticking points, and give you practical fixes to test before the rush. It includes email support and a post-Black-Friday debrief. I’m taking on a maximum of five creators. Take a look at the Black Friday Experience Check → The details and short fit check are there. We confirm the fit before any payment. P.S. “It’s all there” and “I found it” are two very different reviews. Just saying! 😏 === NOTE: I’m moving things around in the backend to make room for a new project. Can you help me spot “bad experiences” regarding my site, your members’ area, communications, or whatever? I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you! === Disclosure: From time to time, I will include links in the emails that would include promotions for my own products or affiliate products, meaning I get paid when you buy the product. However, I only ever mention products I love and would recommend whether I was being compensated or not. Always use due diligence when buying anything and remember, what works for me may not always work for you! Thank you so much for your support of Stephie The Happy Mom!
