Hello and Welcome to Behind the Friction, Reader! Every Friday, I pull back the curtain on something I’ve noticed while working on my own business… hoping it helps you see yours a little differently too. Looking for a previous issue? They are all available to read on my website. ~ π ~ I know this pattern because Iβve been very good at it myself. Someone shares what feels stuck. I listen. Then I end with something like: βHope that helps!β Helpful? Absolutely. Clear about how they could get more support from me? Not even a little. π Thatβs The Invitation Gap: The space between someone thinking, βThat was useful,β and knowing what it would actually look like to work with you.
We often avoid naming the next step because we donβt want to be pushy. But leaving people to figure it out alone is not automatically more generous. If your work could help them move forward, a clear invitation is part of the experience. Not a trap door. β Thatβs why I created the Next Money Move Snapshot. Itβs for creators whose business has traction, but whose sales or momentum have become harder to predict. I look at whatβs happening, name the friction thatβs getting in the way, and give you the clearest next move to test. If that sounds like the bridge youβve been missing:
β See you again Behind the Friction next week! β P.S. Being helpful is a strength. Making people guess how to continue the conversation with you is not. π β . === . NOTE: I’m moving things around in the backend to make room for a new project. Can you help me spot “bad experiences” regarding my site, your members’ area, communications, or whatever? I would really appreciate your help with this! It will make it so much easier for me to fix and improve everything that needs attention. Thank you! === . Disclosure: From time to time, I will include links in the emails that would include promotions for my own products or affiliate products, meaning I get paid when you buy the product. However, I only ever mention products I love and would recommend whether I was being compensated or not. Always use due diligence when buying anything and remember, what works for me may not always work for you! Thank you so much for your support of Stephie The Happy Mom!
